Update : Jan 2015 .. I just found that Kafe Brisik is no longer opened at Jaya One.
If you love Indonesian-Thai food, you'll love Brisik's food. It was my 2nd visit to Brisik and this time I was there for a food review organized by Foodirector. I blogged about my first visit HERE. It was 2011 and my 2nd visit is after 1 year ++ .. I noticed they did some changes in terms of decorations and colours. It looks way better since last time it was more gloomy. I would prefer if I can see the food better. Nvm. That time, I only took photo with my phone. Terrible quality of photos. This one.. Better.. Yeayy.. So, enjoy the photos..
Our appetizer for the day..
Satagor (3pcs : RM9)- mix beancurd, mix veggie, minced chicken, potato cutlets. More-a-like our version of 'begedil'.
Crispy mushroom (RM11) - deep fried mushroom serve with thai sauce.
Keropok Malinja (RM5)- Taste bitter. I don't really enjoy eating it.
Satay serai (RM12) - half dozen of lemon grass chicken skewer.
Yummy as always. A different version from our regular satay.
Here comes the FOOD!!!
Ayam Penyet (RM18) - Indonesian style grilled chicken in chilli and tomatoes.
Another different version of Ayam Penyet.. Unlike the normal ayam penyet which is deep fried that I usually found. This is like ayam percik but with loads of chilli and tomatoes.
Gulai Kambing Cincang (RM25) - Lamb shoulder cooked in special curry
I didn't really have a bite of this since I'm not a fan of lamb. But I heard they said this is among the best dish of the night.
Tahu Telur (RM18) - Mountain tofu in eggs topup with carrot, cucumber and beansprout served with creamy home made sauce.
This is by far my favourite!! It's slightly crunchy on the outside and the sauce tastes just sweet enough.
Pucuk Paku Chilli (RM12) - Nice!!
Sundanese Dancing Fish (RM37) - Crispy fried ikan nila/talapia merah
Nicely presented but somehow taste-wise was just ordinary.
Next is our drinks..
An array of juices. RM7.50 each. They taste nice as it looks.
Jus Alpukat - The best I've tasted so far! I've tried one at Pecel Lele Lela (somewhere in Shah Alam) but that was kinda &*&$% hence I only managed to drink quarter of the glass. BUT.. This is nice. I can finish the whole glass.
Asamboi - RM6.50
Asamboi + Calamansi - RM7.50
Overall I like their food and would definitely come back again for their decent food, but somehow I think the price is quite pricey for me. So it would only be once in a while visit for me.
